611 N Central St. Restoration
Year 2 Semester 2
"Community"
Centro Hispano is an organization that aids, educates, and inspires the Latino community in Knoxville. In order for this organization to grow, the center needed to relocate into a bigger space. 611 N Central St. was then designed to accommodate the needs and wants of Centro Hispano including sustainable living, enough office spaces and meeting rooms, a kitchen and/or cafe, a community outdoor space, classrooms, a space for celebration, etc. The two main areas I focused on in this design are the cafe and “living room”/lobby, which were designed to appease the client's aesthetic.
